Personality:
Determined, but well mannered, more often than not, he remains in a state of content-seeming calm. Rarely does he ask for anything of his own, quite willing to serve himself, usually, without aid of any kind. Even wish his seemingly solid demeanor, there is an air of childish naiveity about him, especially considering the unfamiliar surroundings he's tossed himself into. His loyalty to those he serves is unyeilding, equaled only by the will to protect those he considers his friends and family.
Around the right crowd, he can open up to be rather quirky and playful, especially around children. One thing Kurando respects and cherishes more than anything else is his family, even those he wasn't born to. He'll willingly, and gladly, dispose of any force that prevents those he cares about from living a happy, normal life, even at his own expence.
He has a growing love for understanding how things work, namely machines, and is actually catching on fairly quickly to how technological things work in HIS world. Wait until he sees what Arcadia's got. Also, in order to impress Anastasia, whom he'll gladly describe as his best friend, though it's a bit obvious he enjoys her company a bit more than that, he's been attempting to learn Russian.
Background:
After the defeat of Kato, Kurando became more and more interested in the workings of some of the objects he'd seen on his travels, namely the camera that Anastasia so cherished. Hid focus remained on the camera mostly because he imagined it would give he and Anastasia something to spend more time over, but other gadgets also took his fancy and soon he was busying himself with figuring out how they worked. He also began to attempt to teach himself Russian, but that floundered quite easily as his pronounciation, for lack of a better term, failed.
Finally, to aid with both, with his mother's blessing he traveled to Petrograd to work with Edgar in his clock shop for the next few months. Over time he began to aid with the repair of many of the items that came in, and actually grew to be quite talented with it. He still continued to practice his old skills with the sword, and kept in as constant contact as possible with his mother back in Japan.
When news came of Anastasia's troubles in Arcadia, Kurando immediately packed up his few belongings and crossed the nexus....just missing the princess as she made her return trip home.
